It's here! The first ever Person Of Colour Community Sauna takeover!
When? Tuesday August 19th, 6pm-7.30pm and 8pm-9.30pm (2 X 90 minute sauna and plunge sessions)
Where? Hackney Wick Community Sauna Baths
The POC (person of colour) practitioners and staff of Community Sauna Baths are taking over the Hackney Wick site for a joyful evening of sweating, cold plunge and much more!
This friendly event, exclusively for People of Colour of all ages, enables a place for attendees to relax, connect, recover and have fun in the company of others at risk of racial discrimination.
All in attendance are required to be respectful, kind and welcoming to all staff and bathers. Racism, shaming, phobias and sexism will not be tolerated. This is a queer and trans-friendly event.
And it's gonna be lit.
@cnddrinks will be bringing refreshing drinks and @wearmoonji will be serving delicious vegan ayurvedic ice cream.
@_holy_c will be taking snaps to capture the moment.
N.B. If you're not comfortable with being photographed, let a member of staff know upon arrival and you’ll be provided with a wristband to ensure you’re not photographed or filmed.
Our POC practitioners will be offering micro-events to take you out of this world, including a taster Sauna Sound Bath with Shaun @gotobalm and Aufguss with Saunasthesia’s Omar @the_omar3k

1ST SESSION: 6pm - 7:30pm
Micro-events:
Sauna Sound Bath with Shaun: 6:30pm - 7pm in Lunar Lodge.
Aufguss with Omar: 7pm - 7:30pm in Saunaverse.
2ND SESSION: 8pm - 9:30pm
Micro-events:
Sauna Bound Bath with Shaun: 8:30pm - 9pm in Lunar Lodge.
Aufguss with Omar: 9pm - 9:30pm in Saunaverse.
With 50 spots available for each session (100 in total!), this is a full site takeover! Come solo, come with friends, family, partners. People of Colour, unite!
