Membership Overview & Eligibility Criteria

  • Our Disability Concession is a free concession available to people who identify as disabled and those who require additional support to access the sauna. We follow the Equality Act definition of disability - "a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term negative effect on a person's ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities". To verify your eligibility, please provide one of the following:

    • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

    • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

    • Attendance Allowance (AA)

    • Severely Sight Impaired Registration (formerly Registered Blind)

    • Sight Impaired Registration (formerly Partially Sighted)

    • Hearing Loss Registration (Deaf, Deaf with Speech, or Hard of Hearing)

    • Disabled Persons Railcard

    • Access Card

    • Blue Badge

    • Disabled ID (DID) Card

  • You must also provide a photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence, passport, etc) that matches your supporting document.

  • Your concession is non-transferable and may only be used by the person who acquired it.

  • Your concession gives you access to discounted general sauna sessions.

  • Your discount is valid at our Hackney, Stratford, Walthamstow and Camberwell sites.

What’s Included?

  • £5 off-peak sessions.

  • £11 peak sessions during weekdays.

  • Discounted sessions during weekends.

  • Free access for a carer or companion. Once your application has been approved, we will send you a separate link to a calendar where you can book their space.

  • Events, treatments, and special promos are not included.

Membership Duration

Usage Policy

  • Members must follow all sauna rules, site guidelines, and sauna etiquette.

  • Community Sauna CIC reserves the right to cancel a concession or refuse entry if these rules are broken.

  • Concessions cannot be paused, but you can cancel and rejoin at any time.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Please note that cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session start time are not eligible for a refund or reschedule - this includes reasons like illness, travel delays, or site closures.

  • If a session is cancelled before 24 hours, your refund should arrive within 5–10 business days.

  • To reschedule your booking, you’ll first need to cancel your existing booking. Once cancelled, you can book a new session at your preferred date and time.

Facility Rights

  • Community Sauna CIC may change opening hours, site features, or membership benefits at any time, without prior notice.

  • Community Sauna CIC mayclose sites, saunas or cold plunges temporarily for maintenance or unforeseen reasons, without notice.
